Director, Marisa Colbourn is a Chartered HR Consultant with over 12 years HR and People Management experience.
Marisa has previously specialised in employee relations including disciplinaries, grievances, equality and diversity and also has a passion for improving company performance using bespoke HR strategy. Marisa has previously set up her own small business and has experience working at a variety of different levels ranging from start ups, SMEs, and global multi-national.
Marisa also works as an Associate Lecturer for the Faculty of Business and Law (University of the West of England) teaching students on a range of related business courses including International Business, Business and Marketing, Business and events, and HR in construction.

Claudine Goodwin is a highly organised, insightful business professional. Claudine has a corporate background as a supervisor for a blue-chip National insurance company, and is particularly skillful in customer service and team management.
Claudine also has experience of running her own business and enjoys marketing. If you work with us, Claudine will help to keep your projects on track (as well as Marisa the MD!!!)
Amie is a conscientious, enthusiastic Psychology student studying at the University of the West of England. Amie is keen to pursue a career in HR, with a particular interest in leadership, motivation and training.
Amie is a dedicated individual supporting the team in a variety of aspects .including research,casework, marketing and maintenance of social media outlets and websites.

Ian is an experienced Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Ian has been delivering training and HR services in the private sector for over 5 years, and has a strong specialist knowledge of disciplinary and grievance investigations.
Prior to this, Ian has operated at a senior level in the public sector. Previous roles have included, Head of HR Service Centre for the DBIS (Department of Business Innovation and Skills); where he was responsible for managing 34 staff delivering the HRMS database function, payroll provision and HR Advice team. Ian also has experience of negotiating with TU at National level on terms and conditions. Training and development design & delivery.
Ian has also been responsible for training and leading a team of investigators on discipline, grievance, and Equality issues at the Crown Prosecution Service.
Hilary is a senior lecturer in Human Resource Management at the University of the West of England in Bristol, where she is also the programme leader for the undergraduate degree, BA (Hons) Business and Human Resource Management. Prior to entering academia, Hilary worked in a number of fields, where she took a number of HR roles, especially related to training and recruitment. Hilary is able to advise on a number of HR issues and is especially interested in demographic change, engagement and well-being. Her academic research interests include apprentice pay and ageing workforces. Hilary is an academic associate member of the CIPD and likes cats and owls.
Public Sector Consultant
Lisa-Jayne has extensive experience of supporting Local Authorities, Educations, the Civil Service and the NHS through the consultation process with Trade Unions and Staff Consultation Groups on revised terms and conditions, policies and procedures (including equality impact assessments), restructures including changes to structures, roles with new JD’s and JEQ’s and job evaluation, redundancies and re-deployment, as well as TUPE’s and the secondment model.
Lisa-Jayne continues to support the CIPD profession as a Chair of conduct panels for breaches of the Code of Conduct and is a trained mediator, she also has experience of teaching on the level 7 and Level 5 on the CIPD qualifications.
Head of Employee Relations
Janet has spent 20 years as a practitioner in industrial relations before moving into the higher education sector as a lecturer in HRM. Most recently Janet has delivered postgraduate teaching on Employment Law as a management subject for the Business School at the University of the West of England (UWE).
Janet has worked in a range of public sector organisations and her practitioner experience encompasses negotiations, both individual and collective; representation of individuals with workplace problems, including discipline and grievance; as well as detailed knowledge of the Employment Tribunal system and knowledge and application of employment law.
Janet has successfully completed a PhD on employment relations in the small firm and is a trained mediator.
